Frequently asked questions

What are ready-made decks?

They are curated study decks for commonly studied subjects. Browse by category and popularity, preview the first five cards, and open a deck in the app. Imported decks work in both study mode and test mode.

Which card types are supported?

Written answers, multiple choice, and true/false are supported. Recall a written answer and grade yourself, or choose an option for instant grading. You can mix types in one deck.

How are study mode and test mode different?

Study mode shows the cards due for review today. Test mode takes you through a fixed set, then shows results and missed questions together. Choices are graded automatically; written answers support self-grading.

Can I move a deck from Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. Paste two columns into the web deck builder or upload a CSV or Excel file. You will receive a six-character code to enter in the app. Up to 500 cards can be imported at once.

How does repeated review work?

The app schedules the next review for each card using a spaced-review approach. Cards return near the time they may become harder to remember, helping the same study time go further.

Can I use it on Android?

Yes. My Study Deck is available on Google Play for Android. It is also available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store.

Can I use it on both iPhone and iPad?

Study data syncs through iCloud across devices using the same Apple Account. Android stores study data on the device, and decks can be moved using share codes.

Can I start for free?

Yes. You can import ready-made decks, study them, and build your own decks for free. Some optional app features have daily limits, while a premium subscription removes those limits.
